Terms and Conditions Policy

Revenue Rules

CHECK IN

Check-in from 3:00 pm (GMT -5)
Early check-in is subject to availability and will have an additional cost.

CHECK OUT

Check-out until 12:00 pm (GMT -5)
Late check-out until 4:00 pm (GMT -5) and will have an additional cost.
At the time of check in, you will be asked for your identity document (ID card or passport) which will be scanned and you will be asked to sign a hotel register.

Data Protection

In compliance with Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1877 of 2013, by which the general provisions for the protection of personal data are dictated, we inform you that the personal data provided will be confidential and will become part of a database used exclusively in present and future communications to know your perception of the service provided by BLUES SUITES MEDELLÍN; your email address and other data will be used as a means of communication with you, expressly consenting to the sending of electronic communications for the purposes outlined above.

Payment and Deposit

In accordance with Colombian regulations, all invoices must be paid in Colombian pesos, however, we accept payments in dollars and euros, with prior exchange of currency at the hotel's TRM on the day of check-out.

The reservation must be paid in full at check-in, with credit/debit card or cash, in addition, both Colombians and foreigners residing in the country must pay the following fees additional way the VAT 19%. To complete your registration it is necessary to leave an open credit card voucher or a cash deposit for extra expenses. The Hotel Insurance has a cost of $8,000 COP plus VATper person, per night, which is not included in the room reservation confirmation.

Cancellations

In case of cancellation or change, please notify us at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date, otherwise the first night's accommodation will be charged as a cancellation fee. NO-SHOW. If your departure is earlier than the reserved date, the hotel will charge 100% of the reserved nights at the contracted rate, plus taxes. To extend your stay at the hotel, remember to check availability in advance.
 

In case the reservation has been made through another platform, you should review the cancellation policies of the same, as they may vary.

Smokers

Our facilities, including the rooms, are 100% smoke-free, therefore THE CONSUMPTION OF TOBACCO AND ITS DERIVATIVES IS PROHIBITED.In compliance with Colombian Law 1335 of 2009, Article 19. Guests who fail to comply with this law will be penalized and will have an automatic additional charge to their account, for the same value of the rate applied during the reservation, in Colombian pesos.

Minors

Colombian law protects minors from all forms of sexual exploitation and violence by national or foreign tourists. Violations of this law carry the criminal and administrative penalties provided for in Law 679 of 2001.

IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH MINORS, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

 All minors of all ages will be charged the regular adult rate stipulated by the hotel for their accommodations. All minors must present a valid legal identity document to check into our facilities; if the minor is not traveling with at least one (1) of his/her parents, permission must be presented signed and notarized by one (1) of the minor's parents, otherwise, the hotel will not allow entry.

This form must be requested to the hotel before traveling. If the parent granting the authorization is abroad, the permit must be authenticated before the Colombian consulate; together with this permit must be attached the birth certificate of the minor and a copy of the identification of the person(s) issuing the authorization, which must be presented at the time of entry to the hotel in original and with acknowledgment of signature and content before a notary. If at the time of check-in the minor does not comply with all the requirements indicated herein, he/she will NOT be allowed to enter the hotel and the penalties that are defined will be charged.

Losses

Blues Suites disclaims all responsibility in case of loss for all valuables, such as jewelry, technology, equipment, utensils or money that remain or are left by the guest in the room, service areas or public areas other than those provided by the Hotel for safekeeping (safety deposit box in the room).

Conduct

The guest must have an excellent conduct and the hotel will refrain from providing its services when the guest's behavior is the opposite and the reservation will be immediately cancelled. The guest agrees to use the facilities, furniture, and equipment in general, in an appropriate manner, keeping them in the state in which they were found and therefore, WILL REPLY for any damage or loss of elements or goods of the hotel even for slight fault, for which you will have to pay the price fixed by the Hotel.

No Weapons

Any guest or visitor who has a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for complying with all applicable Colombian laws regarding firearms and carrying current legal documentation. Those who do not comply with this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises without refund, as the only exception to the restrictions described in this firearms policy statement is for law enforcement officers and designated military or police personnel who are on duty and are required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties.

Accompanying Person

Any person, male or female, who at the request of our guest wishes to enter our rooms, regardless of the length of stay and are not registered or reserved by the guest prior to check-in, must register at the front desk by presenting their original identity document and the information requested by the front desk. The value of the accompanying person is 100 USD plus taxes (VAT and hotel insurance) and the holder assumes all responsibilities. FOR SECURITY REASONS, THE HOTEL RESERVES THE RIGHT OF ADMISSION.

Please note

The use of drugs, noise or additional visitors not included in the reservation is not allowed (read section "Accompanying Person"); sleeping in the lobby and common areas is completely forbidden; pets are not allowed in our facilities (read section "Animals"); we do not have parking. The minibar in the room has an additional cost; we offer shared rooms for groups and rooms for people with reduced mobility. Luggage will only be stored for people with paid reservations, to be returned the same day.
